Project Description
GhostTalk is a cross-platform, privacy-first messaging platform engineered to deliver secure and anonymous communication without sacrificing user experience. Developed using Ionic + React on the frontend and a Flask + Appwrite + WebSocket backend, GhostTalk embodies a true zero-knowledge architecture—no emails, no phone numbers, no stored conversations. All communications are end-to-end encrypted using AES-256, with additional features like Perfect Forward Secrecy to ensure even session-level protection.
The app supports self-destructing messages, secure group chats, screenshot detection, and encrypted media sharing, making it ideal for users who prioritize confidentiality and data ownership. GhostTalk runs on Android, iOS, and the Web, thanks to its Capacitor-native build pipeline, enabling a unified experience across devices.
GhostTalk was designed with the principle that privacy is a right, not a feature. It offers anonymous access, intelligent session management, and ephemeral data storage. From its modern UI to its encrypted WebSocket communication layer, every aspect is tuned for stealth and trust.
Built from scratch to challenge surveillance-based chat apps, GhostTalk proves that security, anonymity, and usability can coexist in a single, open-source platform.
